How to Vote

To vote in the Detroit Mayoral General Election, Michigan residents must register by October 7, 2025, either online, by mail, or in person at their local clerk’s office. Voters can cast ballots early in person from October 25 to November 3, 2025, or on Election Day at their assigned polling place; acceptable photo ID includes a Michigan driver’s license, state ID, or U.S. passport, and voters without ID may sign an affidavit and vote a regular ballot.
