How to Vote

To vote in Massachusetts, residents must register by October 23, 2026, either online via the Secretary of the Commonwealth's website, by mail, or in person at local election offices. Voters can cast ballots in person on Election Day, during the early voting period from October 17 to November 1, 2026, or by requesting a mail-in ballot, which must be returned by close of polls on Election Day. No photo ID is required to vote in Massachusetts unless voting for the first time in a federal election after registering by mail.
