How to Vote

To vote in Massachusetts, residents must register by August 15, 2026, either online, by mail, or in person at their local election office. Voters can cast ballots in person on Election Day, during early voting from August 22 to September 11, 2026, or by requesting a mail-in ballot, which must be returned by close of polls on September 15, 2026. A valid ID is required for first-time voters who registered by mail; otherwise, no ID is needed for most voters at the polls.
