How to Vote

To vote in Massachusetts, residents must register by October 24, 2026, either online via the Secretary of the Commonwealth's website, by mail, or in person at local election offices. Voters can cast ballots in person on Election Day, during early voting from October 22 to October 30, 2026, or by requesting a mail-in ballot, which must be applied for by October 29 and returned by close of polls on November 3. Valid ID is required for first-time voters who registered by mail; otherwise, no ID is needed for most voters at the polls.
