How to Vote

Maryland residents can register to vote online through the Maryland State Board of Elections website, by mail, or in person at designated locations. Voters must provide a Maryland driver’s license or state ID number, or the last four digits of their Social Security number. On Election Day, polling places are open from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and voters must present a form of identification if they are first-time voters who registered by mail and did not provide ID during registration; acceptable IDs include a driver’s license, passport, utility bill, bank statement, or government check showing name and address.
