How to Vote

Maryland residents can register to vote online through the Maryland State Board of Elections website, by mail, or in person at designated locations. Registration must be completed by October 14, 2026, for the November 3 general election. Voters may cast ballots in person on Election Day, during the early voting period from October 27 to November 3, or by requesting an absentee ballot, which must be requested by October 29 and returned by close of polls on Election Day. Valid ID is required for first-time voters who registered by mail and did not provide ID at registration.
