How to Vote

To vote in Maryland, residents must register by October 18, 2026, either online through the Maryland State Board of Elections website, by mail, or in person at a local board office. Voters can cast ballots in person on Election Day at their assigned polling place, during the early voting period from October 28 to November 2, 2026, or by requesting an absentee ballot, which must be returned by mail or dropped off at a designated location by 8:00 PM on Election Day. Valid identification is required for first-time voters who registered by mail and did not provide ID at registration.
