How to Vote

To vote in Maryland's 2026 general election, eligible residents must register by October 13, 2026, either online through the Maryland State Board of Elections website, by mail, or in person at a local board office. Voters can cast ballots in person on Election Day (November 3, 2026) at their assigned polling place, during the early voting period from October 25 to November 1, 2026, or by requesting an absentee ballot, which must be returned by mail or dropped off at a designated location by close of polls on Election Day. Acceptable ID includes a Maryland driver's license, state ID, or other government-issued photo identification; first-time voters who registered by mail may need to provide additional identification.
