How to Vote

To vote in Maine, residents must register by October 15, 2026, either online, by mail, or in person at their town office or Motor Vehicle branch. On Election Day, voters can cast ballots at their designated polling place between 6:00 AM and 8:00 PM; early voting is available from October 21 to November 2 at municipal clerk offices. Maine does not require photo ID to vote unless registering for the first time by mail, in which case voters must provide identification with their name and Maine address.
