How to Vote

To vote in the New Orleans City Council District E Election, eligible voters must first register by September 25, 2026, either online via the Louisiana Secretary of State's GeauxVote portal, by mail, or in person at a registrar of voters office. On Election Day, voters can cast their ballot at their designated polling place between 6:00 AM and 8:00 PM; early voting is available from October 5 to October 11, 2026, at designated early voting sites. Voters must present a valid photo ID, such as a Louisiana driver's license, Louisiana special ID card, U.S. military ID, or passport; if no ID is presented, voters may sign an affidavit and vote a provisional ballot.
