How to Vote

To vote in Louisiana, residents must register by October 18, 2027, either online via the Louisiana Secretary of State's GeauxVote system, by mail, or in person at a registrar of voters office. On Election Day, voters must present a valid photo ID such as a Louisiana driver's license, Louisiana special ID card, or U.S. passport; early voting is available from October 28 to November 11, 2027, at designated locations.

Jeff Landry is the incumbent Governor of Louisiana, having assumed office in 2024 after winning the 2023 gubernatorial election. Prior to his governorship, he served as Louisiana's Attorney General from 2016 to 2024 and as a U.S. Representative for Louisiana's 3rd congressional district from 2011 to 2013.
