How to Vote

To vote in Louisiana, residents must first register to vote, which can be done online via the Louisiana Secretary of State's GeauxVote portal, by mail, or in person at a registrar of voters office. On Election Day or during early voting, voters must present a valid photo ID, such as a Louisiana driver's license, passport, or military ID; those without ID may sign an affidavit and cast a provisional ballot. Early voting is available from November 18 to December 3, 2026, and absentee ballots must be requested by November 22 and received by December 5, 2026.
