How to Vote

Louisiana residents can register to vote online via the Louisiana Secretary of State's GeauxVote website, by mail, or in person at a registrar of voters office. Voters must present a valid photo ID at the polls, such as a Louisiana driver's license, state ID card, or U.S. passport; those without ID may sign an affidavit and cast a provisional ballot. Early voting is available from October 28 to November 4, 2026, and Election Day is December 5, 2026; absentee voting by mail is available for qualifying voters, including those aged 65+, disabled, or temporarily outside the parish.
