Voters will choose between the major-party candidates to serve a two-year term in the U.S. House of Representatives starting in January 2027.

How to Vote

To vote in Illinois, residents must be U.S. citizens, at least 18 years old by Election Day, and registered to vote. Registration can be completed online through the Illinois State Board of Elections website, by mail, or in person at designated locations. Early voting begins 10 days before Election Day and continues through the Monday prior, with in-person voting also available on Election Day at assigned polling places. Voters must present a valid form of identification, such as a driver's license, state ID, or utility bill, if registering or voting in person for the first time.
