How to Vote

To vote in Illinois, residents must be U.S. citizens, at least 18 years old by Election Day, and reside in the state for at least 30 days prior. Registration can be completed online, by mail, or in person, with a deadline of October 16, 2026. Early voting begins October 26 and runs through November 1, and voters may cast ballots in person at designated polling places or by mail with an absentee ballot request submitted by October 29.
