How to Vote

To vote in the Illinois primary, voters must be registered by May 21, 2026, either online, by mail, or in person. On election day, voters can cast ballots at their designated polling place from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM; early voting is available from June 7 to June 14, 2026, and vote-by-mail ballots must be requested by June 10 and received by June 21. Voters must present a valid ID if registering for the first time or if required by election judges; more information is available at the Illinois State Board of Elections website.
