The winner of each party's primary will advance to the general election in November 2026 to compete for the seat currently held by incumbent Democrat Brad Schneider.

How to Vote

To vote in Illinois, voters must be registered by May 28, 2026. Registration can be completed online via the Illinois State Board of Elections website, by mail, or in person at county clerk offices. Early voting begins June 3 and runs through June 15, 2026, at designated polling places; on Election Day, voters must cast ballots at their assigned precinct.
