How to Vote

Illinois voters can register online, by mail, or in person through the Illinois State Board of Elections. Registration closes on October 7, 2026. Early voting begins October 24 and runs through November 2, 2026, at designated polling locations. On Election Day, polls are open from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM CT. Voters must present a valid ID if registering on Election Day or if voting for the first time by mail; otherwise, no ID is required to vote at the polls.
