How to Vote

To vote in the Illinois primary, registered voters must be affiliated with a party or may choose a ballot publicly at the polling place. Voters can register online through the Illinois State Board of Elections website, by mail, or in person at county clerk's offices. Early voting begins June 3 and runs through June 15, with Election Day voting on June 16 from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Voters must show a valid ID if voting for the first time by mail or if challenged at the polls; otherwise, ID is not required for most voters.
