How to Vote

Alaska voters can register online, by mail, or in person through the Division of Elections. To vote in the 2026 general election, registration must be completed by September 26, 2026. Voters may cast ballots in person on Election Day (October 6, 2026), during early voting from September 21 to October 5, 2026, or by requesting an absentee ballot, which must be postmarked by Election Day. Valid photo ID is required at the polls, such as a driver’s license, state ID, passport, or military ID.
