How to Vote

To vote in Illinois, you must be a U.S. citizen, at least 18 years old by Election Day, and a resident of your precinct for at least 30 days. Register online, by mail, or in person at your county clerk's office or Secretary of State facility. On Election Day, vote at your assigned polling place; during early voting, you may vote at any designated early voting site in your county. Bring a valid photo ID if registering for the first time or if required by your jurisdiction; otherwise, no ID is needed to vote if already registered.
