How to Vote

To vote in the Illinois primary, voters must register by May 16, 2026, either online through the Illinois State Board of Elections website, by mail, or in person at their local election office. On election day, voters can cast ballots at their designated polling place between 6:00 AM and 7:00 PM CT, or during the early voting period from June 3 to June 14, 2026, at designated early voting sites. Valid photo ID is required for first-time voters who registered by mail and did not provide identification with their registration; otherwise, no ID is needed to vote in person.
