How to Vote

Illinois residents can register to vote online through the Illinois State Board of Elections website, by mail, or in person at county clerk offices, with a registration deadline of May 20, 2026. Early voting begins May 26 and runs through June 13, 2026, at designated polling places; voters must present a valid ID if registering on-site or if it's their first time voting in the jurisdiction. On election day, polls are open from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and all voters must present a valid photo ID such as a driver's license, state ID, or passport.
