To vote in Hawaii, residents must be U.S. citizens, Hawaii residents, and at least 18 years old by Election Day. Registration can be completed online via the Hawaii Office of Elections website, by mail, or in person at a voter service center. Voters may cast ballots early in person from August 1 to August 12, or request an absentee ballot to be mailed to them, with completed ballots due by close of polls on Election Day. A valid photo ID is required for first-time voters who registered by mail and did not provide ID during registration.
