To vote in Hawaii, residents must be U.S. citizens, Hawaii residents, and at least 18 years old by Election Day. Voters can register online through the Hawaii Office of Elections website, by mail, or in person at county voter service centers. Registered voters will receive a mail-in ballot by default and may return it by mail, drop it at designated ballot drop boxes, or vote in person at voter service centers during early voting or on Election Day. A valid photo ID is required for first-time voters who registered by mail and did not provide ID verification; otherwise, no ID is needed to vote in person.
