How to Vote

To vote in Hawaii, residents must register online, by mail, or in person. The registration deadline is July 24, 2026. Voters can cast ballots early in person from August 1 to August 10, 2026, or vote by mail by requesting an absentee ballot. On Election Day, polls are open from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM HAST. Voters must present a valid photo ID, such as a Hawaii driver’s license, state ID, or passport, or sign an affidavit if no ID is available.
