How to Vote

To vote in Hawaii, residents must be U.S. citizens, Hawaii residents, and at least 18 years old by Election Day. Voters can register online through the Hawaii Office of Elections website, by mail, or in person at designated locations. Early voting is available from October 19 to November 2, 2026, and absentee ballots can be requested by mail with no excuse required. A valid photo ID is not required to vote in Hawaii, but first-time voters who registered by mail may need to show identification.
