The 2028 Florida Attorney General primary election will be held on August 22, 2028, to select the Democratic and Republican nominees for the statewide office of Florida Attorney General. The winner of each party's primary will advance to the general election in November 2028 to serve as the state's chief legal officer.

How to Vote

Florida residents can register to vote online at RegisterToVoteFlorida.gov, by mail, or in person at county Supervisor of Elections offices. Voters must present a valid photo and signature ID at the polls; acceptable forms include a Florida driver's license, state ID card, U.S. passport, or military ID. Early voting is available statewide, and vote-by-mail ballots must be requested by August 15, 2028, and returned by 7:00 PM on election day.

Ashley Moody is the incumbent Florida Attorney General, first elected in 2018 and re-elected in 2022. Prior to her tenure as AG, she served as a Florida circuit court judge and U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Florida. She is running for re-election to continue her work on opioid litigation, human trafficking, and election integrity.
