How to Vote

To vote in California, residents must be U.S. citizens, California residents, and at least 18 years old by Election Day. Voters can register online at registertovote.ca.gov, by mail, or in person at county elections offices. Mail-in ballots are automatically sent to all active registered voters, and in-person voting is available at vote centers during the early voting period and on Election Day. Californians do not need to show ID to vote unless they are voting for the first time and did not provide identification when registering.
