How to Vote

Alaska voters can register online, by mail, or in person through the Division of Elections. For the 2026 municipal election, registered voters may vote early in person from September 21 to October 4, or cast an absentee ballot by mail if requested by September 27. On Election Day, polls are open from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM AKST, and voters must present a valid ID such as a driver’s license, state ID, passport, or tribal ID.
