How to Vote
To vote in Alabama, residents must be U.S. citizens, Alabama residents, and at least 18 years old by Election Day. Voters can register online via the Alabama Secretary of State’s website, by mail, or in person at designated locations. Photo ID is required at the polls, and acceptable forms include a driver’s license, state ID, passport, or military ID. Early voting is available at county board of registrars’ offices and designated satellite locations from August 8 to August 24, 2026.

Laura Beth Casey is a longtime Huntsville resident and former public school teacher with over 15 years of classroom experience in STEM education. She is running to improve teacher pay, expand access to advanced coursework, and strengthen parent engagement in district decision-making.
Marcus Johnson is a Huntsville native and licensed contractor who has served on the district’s facilities planning committee for three years. His campaign focuses on modernizing school infrastructure, increasing vocational training programs, and ensuring equitable resource distribution across all schools.
