How to Vote

To vote in the Birmingham City Council Election, Alabama residents must be registered by July 25, 2027, either online through the Alabama Secretary of State’s website, by mail, or in person at a county board of registrars office. On election day, voters can cast their ballots at assigned polling places from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM with a valid photo ID; early voting is available from August 9 to August 23 at designated locations, and absentee ballots must be requested by August 10 and returned by close of polls on election day.
