The 2026 general election for West Virginia's 3rd Congressional District will determine who represents the district in the U.S. House of Representatives. The district covers much of southern and western West Virginia, including Huntington, Charleston suburbs, and coal-producing regions. Voters will choose between major party candidates to serve a two-year term in Congress starting January 2027.
West Virginia residents can register to vote online through the Secretary of State's website, by mail, or in person at their county clerk's office. In-person early voting is available from October 26 to November 1, 2026, and voters may also request an absentee ballot by mail. A valid ID is required to vote in person, including a driver's license, passport, or other state-issued identification.
