Washington State conducts elections primarily by mail. All active registered voters will automatically receive a ballot in the mail starting October 18, 2028. Voters must return their completed ballot by 8:00 PM on Election Day, either by mail (postmarked by November 7) or at an official ballot drop box or voting center. In-person voting is available during the early voting period and on Election Day at designated vote centers; no photo ID is required to vote, but voters must sign the ballot declaration envelope for verification.
