Washington state conducts all elections by mail. Registered voters receive ballots automatically at their registered address approximately 18 days before Election Day. To vote, complete your ballot, sign the return envelope, and either mail it (postmarked by Election Day) or drop it at an official ballot drop box or voting center by 8:00 PM on November 2, 2027. Voters must be registered by October 20, 2027, to receive a ballot; registration can be done online, by mail, or in person. No photo ID is required to vote by mail in Washington, but signature verification is used to confirm voter identity.
