How to Vote

Washington conducts all elections by mail. Voters must be registered by October 5, 2026, to receive a ballot. Ballots are mailed to active voters starting October 14, 2026, and must be returned by mail (postmarked by November 3) or deposited in an official drop box by 8:00 p.m. on Election Day. No photo ID is required to vote, but signature verification is used to validate ballots.

Matt Larkin is a former Chief Deputy Attorney General under Bob Ferguson and a 2022 Republican nominee for Attorney General. He resigned from the AG's office in 2021 to run for Congress but returned to private legal practice before launching his 2026 campaign. Larkin is running on a platform of strengthening public safety, opposing the state's homelessness policies, and limiting what he describes as overreach by the state AG's office.
