How to Vote

Virginia voters must register by October 15, 2028, to participate in the November 7 election. Registration can be completed online through the Virginia Department of Elections website, by mail, or in person at local voter registration offices. On Election Day, voters should bring acceptable photo ID (such as a Virginia driver's license, passport, or tribal ID) to their designated polling place, which can be found using the state's polling place lookup tool. In-person early voting begins October 23 and runs through November 5 at satellite locations and registrar's offices.
