Virginia voters can register online through the Virginia Department of Elections website, by mail using a voter registration application, or in person at local registrar offices. To vote in the June 8 primary, voters must be registered by May 30, 2027, and may vote early in-person from May 27 to June 5, 2027, or request an absentee ballot by mail with applications due by June 1, 2027. Voters must show acceptable photo ID at the polls, such as a Virginia driver's license, passport, or military ID.
