How to Vote

Virginia voters can register online through the Virginia Department of Elections website, by mail, or in person at local registrar offices. On Election Day, polls open at 6:00 AM and close at 7:00 PM EST; voters must present acceptable photo ID such as a Virginia driver's license, U.S. passport, or military ID. Early voting is available for 45 days prior to the election, and absentee ballots by mail are available to all voters without requiring an excuse.
