How to Vote

Virginia residents must register to vote by October 13, 2026, either online through the Virginia Department of Elections website, by mail, or in person at local voter registration offices. On Election Day, voters can cast their ballots at assigned polling places from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM; acceptable ID includes a Virginia driver's license, state ID, U.S. passport, or other government-issued photo identification. Early voting is available from October 28 to November 5, 2026, at designated locations including the Richmond Registrar's Office.
