To vote in Virginia, residents must register by October 16, 2026, either online through the Virginia Department of Elections website, by mail, or in person at local registrar offices. Early in-person voting begins October 26, 2026, and runs through November 1, 2026, at designated voting locations. On Election Day, November 3, 2026, polls are open from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and voters must present an acceptable form of ID, such as a Virginia driver's license, U.S. passport, or military ID.
