About This Race

The Texas State House Districts General Election on November 3, 2026, will determine the representatives for all 150 seats in the Texas House of Representatives. Voters across the state will elect members to two-year terms in the lower chamber of the Texas Legislature, which convenes in Austin and is responsible for passing state laws and the biennial budget.

How to Vote

To vote in Texas, residents must register by October 7, 2026, either online through the Texas Secretary of State’s website, by mail, or in person at a county voter registrar’s office. On Election Day or during early voting (October 25–November 1, 2026), voters must present one of seven approved forms of photo ID, such as a Texas driver license, election identification certificate, or U.S. passport; those without ID may vote provisionally and submit ID within six days.
