To vote in the 2028 Sioux Falls mayoral election, South Dakota residents must register by March 22, 2028, either online via the Secretary of State's website, by mail, or in person at their county auditor's office. On election day, voters can cast ballots at their designated polling place from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM CT, presenting a valid photo ID such as a South Dakota driver's license, state ID, tribal ID, or U.S. passport. Early voting begins March 25, 2028, and runs through April 10, 2028, at the Minnehaha County Auditor's Office and satellite locations.
