To vote in the 2028 South Dakota Attorney General Primary, voters must be registered by May 20, 2028, either online through the Secretary of State's website, by mail, or in person at their county auditor's office. Early voting begins May 6, 2028 and runs through June 4, 2028, with in-person voting available at designated locations; on Election Day, polls are open from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM local time. Voters must present a valid photo ID, such as a South Dakota driver's license, state ID, passport, or tribal ID, when voting in person.
