How to Vote

To vote in South Dakota, residents must register by October 18, 2026, either online via the Secretary of State's website, by mail, or in person at their county auditor's office. On Election Day, voters can cast ballots at their assigned polling place from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM CT; early voting begins September 19 and runs through November 2 at designated county locations.
