How to Vote

South Dakota residents can register to vote online, by mail, or in person at their county auditor's office. Registered voters may cast ballots in person on Election Day, during the early voting period from May 11 to June 1, 2026, or by absentee ballot requested through their county auditor. Valid photo ID is required to vote in person.
