To vote in South Dakota, voters must register by October 18, 2026, either online through the Secretary of State's website, by mail, or in person at their county auditor's office. On Election Day, voters can cast ballots at their assigned polling place from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM CT, or vote early in person during the designated early voting period. A valid photo ID is required to vote in person, such as a South Dakota driver's license, passport, or tribal ID.
