The 2026 South Dakota U.S. Senate Primary is a federal election held on June 2, 2026, to select the Republican and Democratic nominees for the U.S. Senate seat currently held by incumbent Senator Mike Rounds. Voters will choose party candidates who will advance to the general election in November 2026.

Voters will choose party candidates who will advance to the general election in November 2026.
To vote in the 2026 South Dakota U.S. Senate Primary, voters must be registered by May 13, 2026. Registered voters may vote early in person from May 18 to May 31, 2026, or cast an absentee ballot by mail if requested by May 27, 2026. On Election Day, June 2, 2026, polls are open from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM CT, and voters must present a valid photo ID such as a South Dakota driver's license, passport, or tribal ID.
