How to Vote

To vote in the Charleston City Council Primaries, South Carolina residents must first register to vote by the deadline of May 8, 2027, either online via the South Carolina State Election Commission website, by mail, or in person at their county voter registration office. On Election Day, June 8, 2027, voters can cast their ballots at their assigned polling place between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM, presenting a valid photo ID such as a South Carolina driver's license, state ID card, or U.S. passport. Early voting is available from May 28 to June 5, 2027, at designated county voting centers during regular business hours.
