To vote in the Charleston mayoral election, South Carolina residents must register by October 7, 2027, either online via the SC Votes portal, by mail, or in person at their county voter registration office. On Election Day or during early voting (October 21–November 1), voters must present a valid photo ID such as a South Carolina driver's license, state ID card, or U.S. passport at their designated polling place.
